This was a really cool hike. We were pleasantly surprised with the variety of the hike. There were shady areas, non-shady areas, parts near a creek, parts with a very narrow trail next to a field of flowers, inclines, declines, etc. It had it all. There were so many trails, we actually got a little lost. We were very happy we took a photo of the map when we arrived because it helped us find our way out. We came across 3 mountain bikers and 2 couples hiking, so there was pretty good solitude.
Very rocky terrain; very steep, lots of mountain bikes. You'll want walking sticks for this one. Side trails are nice & shady and offer more solitude than the main steep trail.
I loved this trail although I wish it were longer. Next time, I'll try the other two trails as well. It was a very beautiful trail and I only saw one other person when I was parking & leaving but saw no one on the trail itself. There were times that I wasn't sure if I was still on the trail which was really cool. There were many inclines and declines and some were a littlle steep but not too bad. This winding trail is very shady and makes you feel like you're out in the middle of nowhere except that you can hear the road noise in the distance.
Gorgeous scenery but hard to find the actual trail - not sure where to cross to the other side.
Nice trail but lots of trash, unfortunately. Challenging areas but beautiful views of water falls and creeks; some shady areas, average solitude.
