Out      Playground parking area > Tasajilla Flats > Nature Loop > Lanky Lackey > Suzanne's Trail > Burkett park     3.7 miles

Return  Burkett park > Winding Snake > Chaparral > Red Dam Loop > Chaparral > Playground parking area             3.6 miles

Temp start at 50, end at 70, sunny, light southerly wind.

Park was crowded with holiday guests and there were more people on the trails as well.  Trails were in good condition except portions of Red Dam Loop are still overgrown but passable.  Lots of birds out, especially White Crowned Sparrows; seeing more raptors as well.  Also saw a feral cat on Winding Snake.  He was unaware of my presence for a little while but when he saw me, he was off in an instant (photo attached).

All in all, it was a good hike!
