Another Verdin day!  Prior to this year, I saw my first and only Verdin about 10 years ago - in the past 6 weeks, I've seen three Verdin in three different locations so unless the same bird is getting chased out of each area, there are a few around now.

Unfortunately, I also saw my second dead skunk - one last week at the north shore and one today.  In both cases, the carcass was lying right in the middle of the trail and the body had been consumed.  Nature can be cruel but .....

Picked up some trash from Horny Toad and hopefully I will continue to find less each trip.  Quite a few people on the trails today but there was plenty of room for everyone.

All in all a nice hike!
