Route    Burkett park > Burkett Trail > service road (ENE) > service road (NNW) > Playground > Armadillo > East Potts Creek > Burkett Trail > Burkett park       4.5 miles

Temps in the mid-90's, sunny and a steady breeze.

Fitness hike with a friend.  the wind kept us comfortable but nonetheless, it was warm.  Some of the park's younger longhorns were curious about us but they didn't bother us too much.

Grass is still high and the cattle were enjoying it.  Be aware of the cattle when you hike the park because they are in all the mid-section and northern parts of the park.

NOTES

Water, shade, info kiosk and dry toilets available at Burkett park.

Water and shade available at Bell's Point - near the northern end of Playground Trail.  CAUTION - there are at least two wasp nest in the shaded area at Bell's Point.
