Part Of My West Bank (Gully Madness) Hike

Bayou Land Conservancy Sign
This was the only sign I could find and it was posted in the middle of nowhere. There was no sign saying "Spring Creek Bend Preserve", although it is one of the Bayou Land Conservancy projects.

Comments:

I hiked through the Spring Creek Bend Preserve as a part of a longer hike.  You can read my log of that hike here.

I do want to say a few things about the Spring Creek Bend Preserve:

  1. There is no sign anywhere saying "Spring Creek Bend Preserve".  I only found one sign posted on a tree that said the property was part of the Bayou Land Conservancy.
  2. There are no direction or distance signs.  There are also no maps available, printed or online.  Hiking through the preserve is purely exploratory.  I recommend taking a GPS device to help you from getting lost.
  3. The trails are very primitive and it appears that they get very little traffic.  The land is set aside as a Nature Preserve and trails are an afterthought.
