Comments: This is my first post at Texashiking.com and so I thought I would update the info on this hike. I do this one almost every day and its very enjoyable. The trails are very good for the casual hiker and day walker. Walking all of the trails will give you better than 2 miles worth (my daily hike is 2.18 miles according to GPS). The city of San Antonio leaves a lot to be desired, but they really do love their parks and it shows with this one. 3 levels of trail difficulty challenge new walkers and depending on how you do it, seasoned walkers as well. Picnic tables and benches are scattered throughout the area so you can take a break or have lunch. The view from the top is quite nice, especially at sundown. A visit to the library at the south end of the park will treat you to some pictures of the land from the 1940's. All in all this is one of my favorite places to go in town. EDIT: The page here says that dogs are not allowed..not true. Dogs are very welcome and outnumber people usually. They do ask that you pick up after them though and provide "mutt mitts" for this purpose.
