I found a new park to walk and I've added it to the TexasHiking.com database.  This park was named after Deputy Darren Goforth who was brutally murdered in cold blood very close to where this park is located a couple of years ago.

The park is a 2 mile loop (1.97 miles, to be exact) that goes around a large man-made lake/flood reservoir.  The path is paved and well-marked.  The park also has 2 bathrooms, a large playground for kids, and other nice amenities.

As for my hike, I felt really good today after taking the weekend off to recuperate.  I decided to explore some open green space that led me down a long draianage gully all the way out to the Riata Ranch subdivision park.

I could have easily gone 25 miles today, but I had to cut my hike short to pick up my daughter from college.

I think I will make this my regular walking park since I really enjoyed the experience.
