More Of A Neighborhood Sidewalk

Newcastle Trail appears to be a semi-informal trail in the city of Bellaire where people walk, jog and bike.  There are no signs saying "Newcastle Trail" or trailheads, nor is there a parking area.  It is basically a long walk through a neighborhood down an asphalt and concrete sidewalk on Newcastle Street.  There are a couple of busy intersections that you have to stop and cross.  There are some inconspicuous distance markers placed at certain 1/4 mile segments along the trail, but they are sporadic and somewhat confusing.  I'm not sure how accurate they are.

The distance on this trail shows 2.5 miles, but it's actually closer to 2.2 miles according to my GPS.  I hiked through Russ Pittman Park and the Nature Discovery Center on my way back to explore and get a little additional mileage.
