Nice, Well-Maintained Park

Excellent Signage
The signage in this park is very good. In addition to color coded pole markers, there are direction/distance signs, too.

Comments:

Village Creek State Park is a nice, well-maintained park with a number of hiking/biking trails running through it in a "tangled mess."  The signage is excellent.  Each trail is color-coded and there are direction/distance signs posted at the trail intersections.

The trails take you through some forested areas and along Village Creek.  To my surprise, I saw a bobcat.  It was my first time seeing one, but I didn't get a good look at it because he took off running away at high speed.  It was fairly close to the park HQs building, so I had my doubts.  I thought perhaps it was just a large, muscular cat, lol, but when I talked to the ranger he verified he, too, had seen bobcats in the park.
