Typical hill country trail. Lots of loose rock and cedar trees. Not a lot of shade so think twice about going mid day during the summer. The last 200 yards is really steep and treacherous. There are cables on poles to help assist in you club up and down. The waterfall itself is extremely beautiful. Consider hopping over to Gorman Spring trail while you are in the area. Well worth the additional 2 miles of hiking.
