My GPS was paused accidentally without me realizing it, so the track file only shows 4.07 miles due to the lost mileage that wasn't recorded, but I did 8 laps (5.6 miles).
Switched to heavier shoes (boots) to get a better workout.
It was a cloudy day and my phone seems to have had a hard time finding the GPS satellites, so the track file is a little wobbly since my location was not being precisely plotted.

Went walking at the park with my 13 yr old son. It was hot and he's not used to walking long distances, so he was spent after 5 miles.
Track file looks weird because I started and ended my walk at a place on Jones Rd where I dropped my car off to get my oil changed. It was close to Matzke Park, so I walked up to the park, did some miles while my car was serviced, and then walked back to pick up my car.
Nice and cool. Legs a little tired from the previous day, but was able to get in 2 hours.

Clouds and wind kept it cool. I felt good. I planned to do 10 miles, but stopped at 9 because my back started aching.
A warm day (87 degrees) made it uncomfortably hot, so I ended my walk early.
Strong crosswinds kept the temperature down, but also added an interesting dimension to my walk. Dark, ominous clouds threatened my hike from the time I started, but I was happy to get a few miles in before it started to drizzle.
A very light mist kept the temperature cool and kept me in a peaceful zen-state.

Matzke Park is a relatively new park that has a long looping trail. There is a shorter loop and a longer loop. Within the loop are sports fields and a large playground for kids.
