The Figueroa Trail System is a linear trail with various spurs that take you down close to the shore of the reservoir. When I hiked it, the water level was very low so the shoreline had receded quite a bit.
During the months of Nov-Feb, hunting season is in effect and the Figueroa Trail System is in a hunting area. Hike at your own risk. At a minimum, I recommend wearing a hunter orange vest so you can be more visible to the Bubbas.
The trail is pretty basic, but it offers nice views of the reservoir. The trail ends at a corral, which I assume is for sheep since I saw about 15-20 sheep grazing in this general area.
