Great neighborhood park

Rating: 5stars Difficulty: 3stars Solitude: 2stars
Distance: 2.50 Miles Duration: 1 minute

It had just the right amount of scenic stop spots, creeks, cliffs, bridges and rock.  Lots of variety.  Loved it!

Nice park, bone dry, lots of cyclists
Barton Creek Greenbelt [Hiking] - 1/1/2009  [View Log Page]
Rating: 4stars Difficulty: 3stars Solitude: 1star
Distance: 3.00 Miles Duration: 1 minute

Was a nice long and bumpy hike.  Would have been better if I knew all the no-bike trails.  But it was pretty nice.  Watch out for bikers everywhere.

Got lost!
Walnut Creek Park [Hiking] - 12/30/2008  [View Log Page]
Rating: 3stars Difficulty: 2stars Solitude: 2stars
Distance: 3.00 Miles Duration: 1 minute

This is an ok park.  There are lots of bikers so you have to be alert and careful.  Not that relaxing.  Bikers were curtious though.  I wasn't paying attention and ended up way out west.  It was getting dark and I got a little nervous.  Luckily I kept seeing people so I knew I wasn't that far off track.  There are tons of little trails and paths besides the main ones.  Watch out and pay attention or you will end up on Mopac!  LOL

Loved the grounds of the Laguna Gloria Art School

Small Doggie Park....at first
Bull Creek [Hiking] - 4/9/2007  [View Log Page]
Rating: 3stars Difficulty: 2stars Solitude: 1star
Distance: 1.00 Mile Duration: 45 minutes
I agree with the other hiker, this is full of dogs. But once you get out of the base camp/parking area it gets better. Leaving the trailhead and moving toward the first underpass of 360 it gets nicer, quieter, although you see less of Bull Creek until you get to the underpass. I chose a muddy day (surprise) and got stuck in some muddy spots trying to cross Bull Creek back by the parking lot. But it was an okay walk. It was getting late and I didn't want to walk alone at night so I did a few loops to get a nice workout. I want to return and hike the whole trail when I have a whole day to do it. Bull Creek is beautiful. I want to come back when it's warmer and take my shoes of and wade through.
