The Alibates Flint Quarries Hiking Tour is led by a park ranger up to the quarry area on top of a hill. It is informative, especially for someone who knows little about flint, other rocks and quarries. The hike takes you up hill, but it is not as bad as they make it out to be. They take it slow and rest often. I was interested to learn that these flint quarries were the site occupied by the ancient Clovis mound indians.
